Hello MAP Protocol community! We’re excited to share our latest biweekly update, covering the period from April 12 to April 26, 2023. In this update, we’ll discuss our recent presence at the HK Web3 Festival, key product and technical updates, and developments in our community.
Key Technical Updates
🔍 MAPO Scan
MAP Protocol blockchain explorer, MAPO Scan, went live! With an updated UI and new features, both developers and users can monitor cross-chain transactions and network activity more efficiently.
- Validator information has also become more complete. You can check validators’ socials and performances right in MAPO Scan too.
- Further optimization for mobile views, and MongoDB backend data query optimization to resolve high-loading issues, are both underway.
🌀 Omnichain Connectivity
- Cosmos: Our dev team is testing and further researching Cosmos integration, currently conducting reverse data validation (from Cosmos to MAP).
- Klaytn: MAP Protocol has submitted a light client request on GitHub, which is now on the testing net. We’re in the final testing and checkup phase for mainnet deployment.
📖 Omnichain Dictionary
Omnichain teaser — Omnichain Dictionary has completed its update for the off-chain version. You can view details on MAP Protocol Docs here.
📍 The OmniDictionary is a simple dApp demo that demonstrates how cross-chain contract interaction is processed through MAP Protocol omnichain service contract. It basically allows users to send requests to add a new entry in a dictionary(a simple mapping) on a foreign chain with a simple key and its corresponding value.
MAP Protocol at HK Web3 Festival
We had a fantastic time attending the HK Web3 Festival! MAP Protocol was featured at the Golden Booth, where we handed out 200 flyers and 200 T-shirts on the first day!
- Our core dev James XYC joined the AIGC + Web3 discussion stage and delivered the speech on how a fully decentralized omnichain layer like MAP Protocol can unleash the power of AIGC.
- We were also honored to welcome Hong Kong officials to our booth to talk about Web3 in Hong Kong, and we enjoyed engaging with them on our latest developments.
- Our core dev James XYC also joined a workshop hosted by Waterdrip Capital at PolyU and shared with professors & students at PolyU on how MAP Protocol achieves 100% Nakamoto Style cross-chain verification with zero privileged roles.
